HSMP Professionals: An Experienced Team
Our business was founded on the realization that a successful asset management practice is contingent on the hiring and retention of talented professionals in the disciplines of Investments, Client Development and Operations. We have invested in experienced people and assembled a cohesive group with a high degree of continuity. Our team consists of twelve professionals, with an average of 21 years experience. Six members of the team worked together extensively prior to the formation of the firm.
Each founding partner brings approximately 30 years of investment experience to HS Management Partners. Harry Segalas, Managing Partner & Chief Investment Officer, and David Altman, Partner & Director of Research, worked closely together at W.P. Stewart & Co., Inc. for over 13 years. At the time of their departures in the first quarter of 2007, Harry served as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer. David was Director of Research and Portfolio Manager. Together, Harry and David led the U.S. investment team and directly managed approximately $5 billion in client assets. Greg Nejmeh, Partner & President, worked with Harry in the early stages of their investment careers at the firm of Shearson Lehman Hutton, and the two have since maintained a close professional and personal relationship. Bart Buxbaum, Partner & Director of Client Development, joined the firm from TimesSquare Capital Management, LLC, where he was Senior Vice President and Product Manager. Prior to his tenure at TimesSquare, Bart was President of W.P. Stewart Asset Management (NA), where he worked closely with Harry Segalas, David Altman, Robert Gebhart, Cameron Livingstone and Shannon Tyree Brown.
